Dlouhý kámen: the top part between Tok and Houpák
The Alliance Trail is one of the most important forest trails in Brdo, in its highest part spanning the saddle between two Brdo peaks - Tok (865 m) and Houpák (794 m). The upper part of the Alliance is also an important crossroads. This locality is called Dlouhý kámen.
If we follow the Alliance from Obecnice, we climb up a series of serpentines (here the green sign), which gradually open up nice views of the vast plateau of Tok (former impact area) on the left. As we approach the top of the climb, the first thing we see here is an unpaved, initially heavily waterlogged left turn, marked in red. This forest path (following the so-called fire belt) leads directly to the top of Tok, the highest mountain in Brdo. If you follow it, you will gradually see extensive heathland on your left, covering the almost treeless northern part of the Tok plateau. It is from these parts that one of the most interesting wide-angle views in Brdy can be obtained.
But let's go back to Dlouhé kamen. As another, opposite the previous one, there is a right turn, a red marked forest path called Travnatá or Travěnka, which will lead us to the top of Houpák (on its top is one of the concrete military cabins). From it we can overlook not only the former Jordán target area, but also, in good weather, a substantial part of northern Bohemia.
But again, let's go back to Dlouhý kámen. Further on, just after the turn to Travnata, we can see another important turn off to the left, in fact it is a kind of triangle, leading out to a paved forest road called Dřevěnka. Then we would reach the hunting lodge Carvánka.
If we do not turn anywhere from the Alliance, we will descend behind the horizon into the valley of the Reserva stream (between Jordan and Koruna) and continue past the military complex U Nemých to the chateau Tři trubky and then to Strasice.
The Dlouhý kámen crossroads is therefore an important crossroads from which we can plan a number of very interesting trips.
