From Nepomuk to Prague, the second largest peak in Brda
Prague, the second highest peak of the Brda Mountains
The circuit starts in Nepomuk (near Rožmital pod Třemšínem) and ascends along the blue forest path Planýrka and the serpentines of Dřevěnky to the crossroads Svatý Jan. On the main yellow ridge trail, turn left to Prague (844 m), the second highest peak in the Brda Mountains. On the summit stands a 60 m high reinforced concrete tower, which houses a weather radar, a TV transmitter, a diverter and other equipment.
Čák's Lookout, at the left turn from the yellow line, provides a southern view of Šumava, 70 km away. To the northwest near the top of Prague, at the turn from yellow on the right, the remains of the lining of the former German radar headquarters are visible. From here you can see a very nice western view across Padrtje Ponds to Pilsen. Continue down the yellow trail and at the crossroads Pod Hubertkou turn left on the blue trail, from which you turn left and continue on the 2251 cycle route around the Red Quarry back to Nepomuk.
