From Orlov to Třemošná Mountain
The circular nature trail Orlov-Třemošná starts and ends at the car park in the upper part of Orlov (local part of Příbrami, public transport). From the age-old monumental tree (beech with a circumference of 338 cm) the trail climbs through the mature forest on the eastern slopes of Třemošná (779 m). It is a starting point for many trips to the central Brda.
From the western slopes of Třemošná, where there are a number of clearings, we have a nice view of the plateau of the highest peak of Brda, Tok (865 m). About 300 metres further along the ridge we reach the Kazatelna lookout point. This is the top of a rock formation, the so-called frost cabin. From here we can enjoy a distant view of Příbram, behind which the Povltava River rises, and to the south the Novohradské hory and the peaks of Šumava. From the pulpit we descend to the forest road connecting Orlov and the settlement of Oseč. We will return to Orlov along this road.
