Concerts and theatre performances are the offer of the Příbram Cultural Summer, which started in June.
The Příbram Cultural Summer is a series of events taking place from June to September. You can look forward to a wide range of different genres, whether rock music, brass band or folk. It includes theatre performances with a programme for both children and adults.
Don't expect big music festivals with large attendances, but smaller events that take place in attractive locations.
You can start the holiday season at the Prokopská pilgrimage, which is traditionally held at Březové Hory. This is the largest and most famous Czech mining fair and you will see various cultural performances, but also costumed parades, period scenes and an old Czech market.
Are you a theatre lover? The Příbram Theatre has prepared several performances for you in the Forest Theatre Skalka in Nový Podlesí u Příbram, in the Vysoký Chlumec open-air museum or at the State Chateau in Hořovice or in Březnice. You can look forward to, for example, Lemonade Joe, Ballad for a Bandit or the performance The Marriage of Figaro, and Fairy Tales in the Pocket for children.
You can also visit other children's performances at the Forest Theatre with your children, one of which is The Pied Piper and Ed in Love or The Four-Leaf Clover and the Talisman of Power.
In addition to the theatre performances, the Forest Theatre Skalka will also host Karel Plíhal. On the other hand, you can come and listen to the Rožmitál Countrywoman at Dvořák's Embankment, where the acrobatic show Chůdadlo will take place at the end of July.
Lovers of the Summer Cinema will enjoy the performances of Wild Bill and the Three Sisters, as well as screenings of films such as Avatar: The Way of Water, Top Gun: Maverickm Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3 or Asterix and Obelix: Empire of the Middle.
The Junior Club has also prepared a varied programme for its visitors, so you can visit the Junior Chillout Zone or the B-Day Junior Club.
Do you prefer something good to eat and drink? Then there is the Picnic at Novák, where there will be plenty of food and drink for everyone.
The beginning of September and the end of the Příbram Cultural Summer will be marked by two events. One of them is 48. Příbramský huntík by Zdeněk Hejkrlík, which this year will take place in the Church of Mister Jakoubek from Stříbro and in the Orlov Restaurant. The last event will be the Svatohorská Šalmaj on Svatá Hora. There is a varied all-day programme with period music and dance, a medieval town with craftsmen and a market in the courtyard.
