Opening of the tourist season 2026

The second Saturday in April will start the tourist season in Příbram. Visitors can expect discounted admission to local museums, a parade of historic cars and motorcycles on T. G. Masaryk Square and the traditional crossing of the Czech Route 66 from Příbram to Milín. The programme will also include activities for children and tips for trips around Příbram and its surroundings.

Saturday 11 April will be the opening of the tourist season in Příbram with a programme for lovers of history and beautiful cars as well as for families with children. The town will symbolically open the season, which is associated with trips and discovering new places.

Mining Museum Příbram and Svatá Hora

The Mining Museum Příbram will offer 50% off the full admission price throughout the day. Visitors can see extensive exhibitions mapping the mining past of the Příbram region at a discounted price.

The Pilgrimage Museum on Svatá Hora will also offer the same discount. Here visitors can learn about the history of this important pilgrimage site, which has been a spiritual symbol of Příbram for centuries and a popular destination for visitors from all over the country and abroad.

Czech Route 66: Legendary machines and roaring engines

From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., T. G. Masaryk Square and Pražská Street will come alive with a parade of mostly classic cars and motorcycles. Lovers of the smell of petrol and polished car bodies will enjoy the traditional presentation of historic vehicles, which will then set off on a crossing along the route of the Czech Route 66 from Příbram to Milín.

Příbram Information Centre: everything you need to know

The programme will also include a presentation of the Příbram Information Centre, where visitors will get tips for trips and an overview of tourist news. A knowledge quiz about Příbram is prepared for children, who will receive a small prize for completing it correctly.

A guided walk to celebrate the 810th anniversary of Příbram

On Sunday, 12 April, the programme will be followed by a guided walk organised on the occasion of the 810th anniversary of the first written mention of Příbram. Those interested can enjoy a walk through the town accompanied by interesting facts from its history.
