Gastro in the surroundings
DŮM NATURA PŘÍBRAM is a multifunctional modern building located in the very centre of the town. It brings closer the beauty, wealth and tourist possibilities of Brda. At the same time, it is also a base for social, cultural and civic life of the town and its surroundings.
Gaze into a world long gone in the House of Natura.
It currently offers five attractive exhibitions, provides a tourist information centre, offers a wide range of refreshments and provides quality spatial, technical and logistical facilities for various meetings, lectures, seminars, conferences, congresses and teambuldings.
The permanent exhibition"Sphingidae museum" allows you to get acquainted with the mysterious world of lichens. Our museum, which is the second largest in the world, has prepared an exhibition where you will see not only representatives living in the Czech Republic, but we will also introduce you to foreign species including their habitats. The achievements of our museum in the field of systematic zoology will be published for the first time.
Exposition"Brdy Protected Landscape Area" - an experiential exhibition that will show you the beauty of Brdy in an unconventional way. It will introduce you to the problems of nature conservation and show its unconventional forms.
Brdy real and mythical.
Jan Sovák's exhibition The Story of Life:visit a vanished world and discover stories from the Barrandien, the dinosaur era and the Ice Age on your journey through time. The exhibition is accompanied by a selection of Sovák's film and book work.
Living nature - amphibians and reptiles of the Czech Republic - everyoneknows a cobra, an iguana or an anaconda, but few people safely recognize a viper or a smooth dragonfly. You will have the opportunity to observe the animals with your own eyes in replicas of their real habitats and watch their natural behaviour (hunting, fighting males or breeding). This exhibition is a living encyclopaedia of amphibians and reptiles and we believe it will help to remove some of the myths and superstitions and show the interest and importance of these animals to humans.
