Around royal Příbram by bike
The bike tour will take us to interesting places in the centre and around the royal upper town. In Příbram, let's not miss a visit to the two main landmarks of the city - the Marian pilgrimage site of Svatá Hora and the Mining Museum Příbram, where we can go into the adits or take a ride on the mine train. We will also visit the former Vojna labour camp, visit the places of inspiration of composer Antonín Dvořák and climb to the edge of the Brdy Protected Landscape Area.
We will start the route in the Nový rybník area, where there are a number of playgrounds and a natural swimming pool, which we will appreciate especially at the end of the trip. We will go along the track to Brod and past the former uranium mine No. 15 to Lešetice, where we will turn to the War Memorial according to the cycling signs.
Vojna is a unique partially preserved prison complex in Central Europe. Originally it was a prison camp for German prisoners of war, but over time it was transformed into a prison for political opponents of the communist regime. From the car park, cycle routes 302C and 302 lead to the chateau in Vysoká u Příbramě, which serves as a memorial to the musical great Antonín Dvořák. From the memorial we will take route 302 to Bohutín, where we can visit the Museum of the Bohutín Micro-Region. From here, we will ascend to the deep forests of Brda along route No. 2251 through the village of Láz on route No. 8198 and then No. 8190. We continue along the trail past the Pilská reservoir to Obecnice, from where we descend to Oseč. Then we follow the trail No. 302 to Podlesí and go back to Příbram past the football stadium.
