The Litavka Forest Park Nature Trail

Due to the interest of this unique place, a virtual nature trail was created a few years ago, which literally invited visitors to discover the secrets of this area. On Wednesday, 21 October 2015, a real nature trail was inaugurated in the forest park, which was a continuation of this internet project. On this occasion, a new memorial tree - the Charlotte Masaryk Lime Tree - was also declared.

The educational trail was created in cooperation with the town of Příbram, the civic association Protection of Fauna and with the generous help of the Mining Museum Příbram and the State District Archive Příbram, who collected interesting data from the history and present of the forest park. The information board with 12 stops is located on the south-western edge of the town of Příbram in the valley of the Litavka river. The starting point of the trail is the parking lot at the football stadium of the 1st FK Příbram, or in the opposite direction, the settlement called Vysoká Pec near the Vysokopecký pond, called Pecovák, which provides visitors with information not only about the fauna, flora, or the places where silver ore was processed hundreds of years ago. Children will also find it interesting, as they can perform various fun tasks during their wanderings.

A short walk from the car park is a gazebo with a fireplace, where everyone can bring something good to roast and then enjoy a quiet treat in the open air with friends or family.

There is a new playground and workout area for families and athletes. It is set in a spacious meadow with plenty of attractive climbing frames, swings, slides, a roundabout and, of course, exercise equipment. All ages will find something to enjoy. There are plenty of benches for relaxation.

There is also an agility park for dogs, which is an original enclosure that has been adapted and supplemented with animal obstacles.
