Vrškamýk is a castle ruin located one kilometre west of the village of Kamýk nad Vltavou in the Příbram district (about 10 minutes' walk along the green hiking trail).

The castle stood on a ridge at an altitude of 345 metres above sea level. It has been protected as a cultural monument since 1965.

It is a ruin of the castle of Wenceslas I (ca. 1240), completed under Přemysl Otakar II. Already during the reign of Wenceslas II, the castle began to decline in importance, and in 1569 it was listed as deserted. The courtyard walls and parts of the partitions of the palaces and the gate of the core, the remains of the gate of the forecourt, the ring rampart and the moats have been preserved.

The ruins are fully accessible, admission is free.

Vrškamýk - its surroundings have been reclaimed, there is a small children's playground, a hiking trail around the entire ruin and photographs and pictures that show what the place looked like hundreds of years ago.
